Wing foiling is taking the world by storm! If you look out across the Columbia River Gorge on a windy day, you’ll see riders gliding effortlessly above the swells with massive smiles. This thrilling new sport blends the best of kitesurfing, windsurfing, and surfing into one “levitating” experience.
Why Try Wing Foiling?
Pure Sensation: It’s less about chasing records and more about the flow. Imagine carving through water with the smoothness of skiing on fresh powder.
Light Wind Performance: Thanks to hydrofoil technology, you can soar in less than 10 knots of wind.
Easy Setup: It’s simpler to rig than other wind sports and much easier on your body.
Speed: Even beginners can find themselves hitting up to 30 mph with total ease.
A Quick History
The sport found its footing around 2015 when Tony Logosz began testing hand-held wings. This led to the release of the Slingshot Slingwing, paving the way for the specialized gear we use today.

Ready to fly? Our 2.5-hour sessions take you from zero to foiling! We start with the essentials on land—gear setup and wing control—before hitting the water. You’ll learn to stand, sail upwind, and eventually experience the thrill of riding on the foil. Don’t worry about drifting away; our safety dinghy has your back! Plus, if the wind doesn’t show up, we’ll get you foiling with a tow-behind session. Everything is more fun with a buddy, so grab a friend and let’s get on the water!

Note: Our booking calendar does not reflect our actual schedule for the season. Use it to select your preferred start date, complete the booking and we’ll send you a google calendar invite confirming your date, time and where to meet. If you schedule a lesson on a day there is no wind, we will reschedule for the next best available time. If you are unable to be available we can either hold a credit for the next time you visit or we can issue a full refund less $25 per 2.5 hours booked.

Weather Forecast
Take a look at the weather forecast and determine what days you may be available to do lesson. In the Gorge we typically need around 15kt+ to be able to fly a kite, so look for higher wind periods in the day and book through our online booking system accordingly. If you're not sure, just give us call and we'll be happy to help you book over the phone.
